Back To School Math Poster Activity - "Math and Me"

USD 2.50

Your students will love this "Math & Me" poster activity for the first days of school that combines math with "all about me" information. Ratios, number skills and coordinates are used and made relevant to their own lives. Appropriate for 5th grade - 8th grade!

The "My Name in Ratios" section will have students using ratios and proportions in a way that is directly related to them.

The "Initials on the Coordinate Plane" will have students plotting the initials of their first and last names on a coordinate grid. This exercise enhances their understanding of the coordinate plane and spatial awareness, all while reinforcing the recognition and structure of letters.

The "Birthday Numerology" section will have students calculating their age in years, months, and days as well as finding the sum of the digits in their birthdate. Students will also apply multiplication and fractions to their daily lives.

This is an excellent ice-breaker for the start of the school year for both elementary school and middle school!

Combining Math and Art - this poster will look great on your bulletin board.
