IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
After fifteen years in the classroom, I realized my students learned best when math looked more like a MESS - art supplies out, students out of their seats, and everyone actually talking about math concepts and reasonings.
That spark became Math Down Under: a place where teachers can find low-prep, high-impact math activities and projects that get kids engaged and thinking deeply. Every resource is designed to make math hands-on, visual, and fun - because when students enjoy the process, that’s when the learning begins!
I’m Tracy - Math teacher turned resource creator, cosplay enthusiast, horror movie lover, and occasional metal show attendee! I grew up in Florida but now call Australia home, where I spend my days designing math projects and my nights reading under twinkle lights in my own library.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me crafting home-made cosplay with my eldest daughter, or running one of Australia’s top junior physie dancers - aka my youngest - to a million practices/competitions (ask me about physie - definitely not a sport known too much outside of Australia!)
I believe learning (and life) are both better when you bring a little creativity, curiosity, and chaos — the good kind, obvs. — to the mix. Let’s learn together…and have some fun! xx Tracy
