6th Grade Geometry Math Project - Area, Perimeter, Surface Area, Volume

USD 4.50

Fully engage your students during your Geometry unit with this fun math project!

This project finds your students helping to redesign a local zoo. They will work through 9 parts practicing area of polygons (square, rectangles, triangles, and composite figures), drawing nets, perimeter, graphing ordered pairs on a coordinate plane, surface area and volume of rectangular prisms.

All four quadrants are used in this activity.

This project took my class 3 class periods to complete (50 min class). I have also successfully used this project with 5th and 7th grade!

No prep! Perfect for review, end of topic, or an end of the year math project! Teacher instructions and a marking guide are included.
